Members of the Forum

We, members of the Israel Law Professors' Forum for Democracy, have different academic stands about the details of the different reforms of the 37th Government. Therefore, the position papers or other professional materials produced by us reflect the prevailing position among the members, even if they are not everyone's opinion. However, we are united in the opinion that the entirety of the government's proposals - which are an unprecedentedly serious attack on the independence of the judiciary system, the police, the military, and public broadcasting - are intended to seriously damage the rule of law and the democratic character of Israel. Therefore, we joined this forum to give the public our professional opinion in this unfortunate time.
